Thallium doped sodium iodide crystal (NaI: TI) is a scintillation crystal with excellent performance. This crystal is grown with sodium iodide (NaI) as the matrix material and an appropriate concentration of activator thallium (TI). Its maximum luminescence wavelength is 415nm, which can be well matched with the photocathode of common specifications of photomultiplier tubes. Nal: TI scintillator is a colorless transparent crystal that has little absorption of its own luminescence. Due to its high density, effective atomic number, strong absorption ability and high energy resolution for X-rays, it occupies an important position in radiation detection. It is an important basic material in detection instruments such as geology, petroleum, coal, medical, security, industrial CT, and environmental detection.
